"(i)d"

A drumset loses its destiny, when not played since considerable time. It stands "in dependence" to somebody who uses it. "(i)d" is an installative work by composer Christian F. Schiller in cooperation with drummer DD Kern, commissioned by the first elevate Festival 2005 with its Motto "Independence". Motion sensors triggered by the audience control a prerecorded drum-solo, while walking near and around a drum-set covered with cobwebs.
